Dragonfly Pavillion
Biomimicry in Architectural Design
Biomimicry is the design of structures or materials that are modeled after or attempt to replicate natural biological processes. Biomorphism is the practice of using naturally found patterns in art and design. This preliminary studio project required the selection of one specific natural feature to be incorporated into the design of a small pavilion.
Visitors of the pavilion would be given the opportunity to learn about biomimicry and the significant and positive influences it could have on building design.
