Modern building practices have begun to shift away from including decorative building elements in favor of more affordable materials and expedited construction times. Despite this shift in building standards, it is still possible to compromise between modern practices and constraints and adding unique features to a build.

This project aims to embrace more modern minimalism while also paying homage to the more visually appealing elements of classical and Victorian building styles. It is also an investigation into the functional use of space within a single-family home in which buildable area varies between levels.
